Pictures from the 2004 Edinburgh Trial

My son Alex took these photos in the course of the morning.  The hill conditions were filthy, due to heavy rain in preceding
days, but the weather itself was generally generous on the day - mildish with sunny periods and couple of light showers.

This was taken near the top of Haggside, after the restart.  I don't normally grin so cheerily at spectators...

This was taken near the end of Bamford, which is an evil hill at the best of times, but unusually wet this year.  The Club had spent quite a bit of effort in repairs this year, but it wasn't easy to tell the difference...

This rather demented lady (intermittently egged on by her husband) conducted a one-person protest against the trial's use of Bamford this year, succeeding in delaying us all by some 30 minutes...

This was the queue down to the start of Litton Slack. I'm glad to say, Alex (my son) forbore to take
a shot of us failing Litton miserably (although we were in a minority to even leave the start line
at the time we went through - steady rain at this point...
